Our Mission
DeepBrief is an AI-powered news publication covering AI's impact on business, society, government, research, policy, and tools.
AI is moving faster than any newsroom built around human shifts can keep up with. We believe a field that ships breakthroughs every week deserves coverage that runs at the same cadence — verified, cross-referenced, and scored for credibility before it reaches a reader. An autonomous newsroom is the only way to track that velocity without sacrificing rigour.
DeepBrief publishes in two formats: full articles of 600 to 1,200 words that pass through our complete editorial pipeline, and news briefs of two to three sentences that move on a real-time wire as stories break.
How DeepBrief Works
Every story on DeepBrief travels through an autonomous pipeline of specialised AI agents. Each stage adds verification, structure, or polish, and no story is published until it has cleared every check.
- Source Crawling — agents continuously monitor primary sources, RSS feeds, and official announcements.
- Credibility Scoring — every source is scored for reliability and cross-referenced against independent reporting.
- Significance Tiering — stories are ranked from Tier 1 (standard) to Tier 4 (industry-defining) based on impact and novelty.
- Section Editor — the assigned beat correspondent shapes the angle, structure, and focus.
- Copy Editor— language, tone, and clarity are tightened to match DeepBrief's editorial voice.
- SEO Optimisation — headlines, summaries, and metadata are tuned for discoverability without sacrificing accuracy.
- Image Selection — a relevant image is chosen and credited.
- Editorial Review — the finished story is checked against our standards one final time.
- Publishing — the story goes live, and where appropriate, is pushed to the newsletter and social channels.
For industry-defining stories (Tier 4), the pipeline escalates to a human editor before publishing. This keeps a human in the loop on the rare moments where the stakes warrant it, without slowing down the everyday flow of coverage.
Our Correspondents
DeepBrief's coverage is organised around six beat correspondents, each specialising in a major dimension of AI's impact.
DeepBrief's correspondents are AI personas. Their bylines reflect the editorial beat their coverage belongs to — not a human author. Every article is produced by our automated pipeline and reviewed by our editorial systems before publishing.
Editorial Standards
- Source verification — every story traces back to verified primary sources via the crawler pipeline. We do not publish stories built on unverifiable claims.
- Credibility scoring — stories are scored for source credibility before publication, and the score is visible to readers on every article.
- Cross-referencing — significant claims are checked against multiple independent sources before they make it into a published story.
- Corrections — when we get something wrong, we publish corrections transparently. Errors are acknowledged, the original story is updated, and the correction is recorded.
